Since the beginning of the category he has built and lead teams on industry leading projects in consumer and enterprise product with Microsoft, Skype, Wire and most recently Symphony. He is a successful entrepreneur, having co-founded and sold Camino Networks to eBay in 2006 in addition to his service on numerous advisory and board positions.

Author, inventor and visionary, David’s ideas have influenced the major trends in consumer and enterprise communications and most recently secure collaboration technologies over the past two decades. He founded and ran Microsoft’s unified communications products (Skype for Business) and as Global head of collaboration services at Thomson Reuters, introduced the first consumer-to-business federated communications to the financial services industry. After the sale of Skype to Microsoft where he was the GM of Skype’s Enterprise Business, David founded and sold Perzo before founding Symphony. David sits on the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s International Technology Advisory Panel, is regularly featured on global broadcast (CNBC, BFM, Fox News) and print media (TechCrunch, Le Monde, Wall Street Journal) and is a sought-after keynote speaker around the future of the digital workplace, collaboration technologies, workplace diversity and all matters related to privacy and information security.

An engineer at heart, Mike has developed a knack for building the right technology to make startups successful for almost 40 years, and has brought this expertise to Symphony. This is evidenced by his role in the successful startups Assured Access, Verilink, Madge Networks and Teleos Communications.

Scott is a highly collaborative HR leader with a passion for developing diverse, high performing, global organizations. Scott spent years as an HR executive with market-leading organizations including Microsoft, Cisco and UnitedHealth Group. Throughout his career, he has worked with executive teams in growth phase businesses, including in emerging markets and private equity.

Basil Motfah
Basil Motfah

Chief Revenue Officer

Basil brings a laser focus on growth and revenue and has successfully grown organizations to billions in revenue. He was formerly president of Intellectual Property & Science at Thomson Reuters and also led the sale of a $1B revenue division of Thomson Reuters to a private equity firm in 2016 for $3.55B. Prior he spent time at Reuters, was a founding member of Reuters Venture Capital and was Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Reuters Financial including China, India, Africa, and Latin America. He is an active angel investor and advisory board member. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ken is a recognized enterprise product leader, having served on management teams at several successful companies, including industry leaders Box and MuleSoft. At MuleSoft he defined a new category of iPaaS and built the industry-leading Anypoint Platform while growing the product organization for eight years, leading to a successful IPO. Prior to MuleSoft, Ken served as founder and Vice President for startups in the application infrastructure and IT governance markets, including a successful acquisition by BEA Systems. Ken contributed to the development of several industry standards, including SAML, XACML, and OpenAPI and holds multiple patents and advisory board positions.

Dietmar Fauser

EVP Global Engineering

Dietmar is an experienced and internationally-minded IT professional. He is specialized in the design and implementation of large-scale IT systems that require high performance and availability. Previously the SVP of Platform Engineering and Global Operations at Amadeus, Dietmar has a deep network in the IT industry. His focus is around open-source development, distributed systems, and general mission critical systems engineering.
