Brad Levy is the chief executive officer at Symphony, the leading financial markets’ infrastructure and technology platform.

Prior to Symphony, Brad was a partner and executive at global analytics and information provider, IHS Markit, having also served as CEO of MarkitSERV and global head of its loan settlement and software services division. Earlier in his career, he spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, culminating in his role as managing director and global head of GS’s Principal Strategic Investments Group.

He was recently recognized as CEO of the Year at the 2022 Markets Choice Awards and included in the TabbFORUM 40 Top Innovators in Financial Markets list, highlighting Brad’s deep markets expertise and commitment to driving innovation and tackling inefficiencies in the industry. He had been previously recognized with the Markets Choice Neil DeSena Market Advocate Award for his dedication to driving change as a global leader in financial services. 

Brad has served on numerous boards within the financial sector and is a sought-after advisor and speaker.

Ben Chrnelich

Ben Chrnelich has a passion for Capital Markets Technology and has spent his career focused on enabling trading organizations to utilize technology that drives efficiency and productivity. Over the past two decades he has held financial and management leadership positions at Charles Schwab, Lehman Brothers, NYSE and IPC where he drove business strategy to adapt to the constantly evolving trading landscape. When not working, Ben enjoys coaching soccer for NJ ODP and his daughter’s teams.

Corinna Mitchell

Corinna Mitchell is Symphony’s general counsel. She leads the company’s legal work and operations and is a member of Symphony’s global executive team. She spent 20 years in private legal practice and most recently as General Counsel at financial services investment advisory firm Foxford Advisors LLP. Corinna is based in London.

Dietmar Fauser

Dietmar Fauser is Symphony’s chief information officer. He leads engineering, security, operations and support, and internal IT. Dietmar has a long history of building large-scale critical IT systems and is an open source and open systems advocate.

Previously he was the senior vice president of Platform Engineering, Global Operations and executive committee member at Amadeus. Dietmar has a deep network in the IT industry. His focus is on managing high performing engineering teams to build industrial scale distributed systems that require high performance and high availability. Dietmar is a member of Symphony’s global executive team, board member of FINOS, the Fintech Open Source Foundation, and board member of RedHat Strategic Advisory Board.

Michael Lynch

Chief Product Officer

Michael Lynch is Symphony’s chief product officer. He joined the firm in 2021 and is responsible for its product strategy, partnerships, professional services and marketing.

Prior to Symphony, Michael was head of digital workplace product strategy at Goldman Sachs, after spending 12 years at Bloomberg where he held multiple leadership roles including head of product for the communication and collaboration products on the Bloomberg terminal.

Celia Auge

Chief Operating Officer, Product and Engineering

Celia Auge has a transversal expertise within strategic and business operations. Celia is the chief operating officer for the Product and Engineering organizations at Symphony, where she is responsible for financial and workforce planning, strategy, organization and internal governance.

Celia started her career as consultant for Ernst & Young in France. Since then, she has spent almost 15 years working for technology companies, including 10 years at travel industry IT leader Amadeus, where she performed various roles including head of VP office and head of strategic planning and operational efficiency, reporting into executive committee members.

She joined Symphony in 2020 as chief of staff for the company’s Product and Engineering functions.

Shawn Brosnan

Senior Director, Finance

Shawn Brosnan has over thirty years of comprehensive financial management experience. He has successfully led global financial teams and provided leadership to high growth businesses involving financial and cash flow management, debt and equity financing, lender relations, acquisitions and divestitures, financial reporting and analysis.

He joined Symphony in June 2021 with the acquisition of trader voice and electronic communication provider, Cloud9 Technologies (C9). Prior to joining C9, he held senior management positions, including chief financial officer in the technology, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Early in his career, he had a long tenure with the global consulting and audit firm Ernst & Young.

Mary Chan

Controller and VP of Finance

Mary Chan is a finance and accounting leader with more than 15 years of experience, including revenue recognition, sales operations, technical accounting, FP&A, financial audits and equity management.

She joined Symphony in 2015 and is the company’s controller and VP of finance, where she is responsible for its global financial operations. Prior to Symphony, she held leadership roles in multiple SaaS and fintech startup companies, the most recent one as SVP of Finance at Xapo. Throughout her career, she has completed four acquisitions and has a successful track record of building repeatable and scalable forecasting and planning processes to help companies grow and scale.

Bryan Christian

Co-Head of Sales

Bryan Christian is an industry veteran with over 25 years of financial services experience, bringing acute sales acumen to Symphony’s commercial organization. His expertise lies in Equity & Exchange Market Structure, and most recently in with blockchain technology.

As head of business development, Byran focuses on the company’s priority growth initiatives, including new markets, segments and client engagement.

Previously, Bryan worked at LMAX Group, as director US Institutional Sales, having also worked in senior commercial roles at Nasdaq, Cboe Global Markets, and Old Mission. Bryan is on the board of directors for the SIFMA Foundation.

Jon Emswiller

Jon Emswiller is an experienced senior strategic account manager and business development expert with a demonstrated history of success focused on the financial services and fintech industries.

As the associate director of account management at Symphony, Jon is a skilled leader in SaaS sales, relationship management, operations management, and accounting. Jon has a track record of driving revenue growth and bringing new logos to the business with his business development acumen.

Previously, Jon worked at StreetLinx, acquired by Symphony in 2021. Before StreetLinx, Jon covered institutional clients across leveraged loans, high-yield and distressed debt, equities, and special situations, having begun his career advising companies through financial restructurings.

 

Alex Francisci

Director, Product Management

Alex Francisci is a seasoned product management leader with over ten years of experience in driving innovation and revenue growth in the fintech industry. As director of product management at Symphony, he is responsible for all voice products and was part of the team that patented a voice-in-chat integration.

Alex was head of product at Cloud9, which was acquired by Symphony in 2021. Prior to Cloud9, Alex played pivotal roles at Tasset Group (formerly trueDigital), and trueEX Group, where he developed new business plans, built API strategies, and led cross-functional teams. He holds two patents, and is recognized for his achievement as an Eagle Scout.

Rob Friend

Head of Solutions, Products and Partnerships

Rob Friend​ is the head of the market solutions products and partnerships at Symphony. In his role, he delivers market workflows for traders, sales, research and operations users.

Prior to Symphony, he was chief operating officer at SteelEye, a cloud-based platform providing trade and communications oversight, as well as regulatory reporting tools.

Rob spent 12 years at Bloomberg and held a number of product roles. He was responsible for the firm’s global fixed income, FX and foundational product strategy as well as order management systems and electronic trading products.

Prior to his fintech career, he spent 12 years working in the financial industry for Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan. He has worked in a number of risk and middle office roles covering interest rates, credit and equities across both cash and derivative products.

Sharon Hackett

Director, Business Operations

Sharon Hackett has over 15 years of experience in business operations, sales operations and marketing operations, spanning multiple technology organizations. She partners closely with leaders in the firm to execute Symphony’s growth strategy and ensure cross-departmental alignment.

Joining Symphony in 2019, Sharon now serves as director of business operations, and is responsible for driving operational excellence across the organization through innovative processes and system design.

Mitch Hibbs

Chief Information Security Officer

Mitchell (Mitch) Hibbs is an information security and governance, risk, and compliance leader with over 20 years of experience in industry verticals that include financial services, technology, health care, and retail.

As chief information security officer at Symphony, Mitch is responsible for the company’s global information security, technology governance and compliance obligations.

Before joining Symphony, Mitch was the head of enterprise information security at Polycom/Plantronics (Poly) where he was responsible for all aspects of internal corporate security including incident response, security engineering and operations, forensics, and risk management. Prior to Poly, Mitch spent over 10 years at Dell in a variety of senior roles in information security and compliance.

Mitch is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). 

Brian Hunt

Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Organization

Brian Hunt has worked in financial technology for almost 20 years, with experience in senior-level administrative and organizational strategy functions.

He is the chief operating officer of the commercial organization at Symphony. In this role he is responsible for supporting all strategy and operations for the CRO. Prior to joining Symphony, Brian served as chief administrative officer for Cloud9 (acquired by Symphony in 2021), where he was responsible for designing and executing effective growth and operational strategies as well as overseeing the Business Development and Partnership functions.

Before joining Cloud9, Brian was director of human resources and global administration at Tradeweb for 15 years, where he helped grow the company from 25 people to 800 worldwide, with a valuation of over $15 billion.

Brian volunteers with the Habitat for Humane Society in NYC and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management Association (SHRM).

Katherine Kilpatrick

Head of Corporate Marketing

Katherine Kilpatrick has worked in financial services marketing for over 15 years with a focus on insight-driven marketing communications and strategy. As head of corporate marketing for Symphony, she leads global brand awareness and messaging across all channels, including design, thought leadership, events and digital, including the company’s flagship event Symphony Innovate.

Part of the original team working to build Symphony, her primary focus has been to enhance the value for the company’s customers and partners by amplifying Symphony’s innovative technology. Prior to Symphony, Katherine was vice president of financial services for Bliss Integrated Communication.

Sinead Lanyon

Head of Marketing

Sinead Lanyon has 17 years of marketing experience in finance and technology industries, successfully supporting customer acquisitions and client engagement, while driving growth in a collaborative manner.

As head of marketing, Sinead oversees the global marketing team including product and commercial messaging, demand generation, events, digital and go-to-market efforts at Symphony.

Previously, Sinead helped lead TS Imagine’s marketing across Europe, the Middle East and Asia as well as the go-to-market and global channel marketing initiatives for Fitch Solutions.

Andreas Lindvall

Head of Engineering, Markets Voice & Video

Andreas Lindvall is a software engineering leader with almost 20 years of experience building real time collaboration products at global scale.

As head of engineering for the Markets Voice & Video organization, Andreas is responsible for the development and delivery of all Symphony products in the voice and video domain. This includes our trader voice product Cloud9 as well as our federated voice offerings.

Before joining Symphony in September 2017, Andreas was leading teams at Skype/Microsoft delivering Group Video Calling services on the cloud for Skype as well as for what has become the Microsoft Teams product.

Odette Maher

Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs

LONDON

Odette Maher is a communications leader and trusted advisor on public and corporate affairs matters, including reputation, stakeholder management and engagement. Her experience spans fintech, investment and corporate banking, retail banking, consumer finance and wealth management.

She is the head of communications and corporate affairs at Symphony, and is based in London. In this role, Odette runs all external and internal communications across the company and regions, as well as Symphony’s corporate sustainability strategy and ESG framework. Prior to Symphony, she held a number of senior roles at Santander Group in Puerto Rico, Boston and London.

Odette is a board member of the Society of Educational Arts (Teatro SEA), a bilingual arts-in-education organization and Latino children’s theater in New York City.

Yannick Mallins

Head of Collaboration & Partner Platform Engineering

Yannick Malins is a software engineering leader with 15 years of experience building high-tech digital and collaboration products.

As director of engineering, Yannick is responsible for the development and delivery of key elements of the Symphony product suite. Yannick leads the messaging experience on desktop and mobile, as well as federation with external communication networks, the quality engineering organization, the Symphony Directory and all interoperability platforms.

Before joining Symphony in March 2021, Yannick held several engineering leadership positions, delivering mission-critical digital and operation solutions for airlines at travel industry IT company Amadeus.

Laura McNally

Deputy General Counsel

NEW YORK

Laura McNally has extensive experience with commercial and product initiatives, contractual and compliance-related activities, strategic transactions, and legal and internal operations.

As Symphony’s deputy general counsel, Laura helps oversee the company’s legal function as it supports all areas of the business. She is a key legal partner to sales, commercial, and product teams, and is involved in all stages of product and go-to-market processes.

Laura joined Symphony in early 2018 and is the longest-tenured member of Symphony’s legal team, having helped guide the company through the evolution of its platform and vision from its beginnings as a chat tool. Laura has over 10 years of experience serving as in-house counsel, including her previous roles working in the technology and entertainment sectors.

Jim Miller

Chief Technology Officer, Markets Voice & Video

Jim Miller has worked in financial technology for over 25 years, with experience in credit and fixed income trading systems, credit derivatives technology, and FpML and XML.

As Chief Technology Officer, Markets Voice & Video at Symphony, Jim is responsible for continually improving and delivering a better experience for Symphony clients over the entire client journey.

Prior to Symphony’s acquisition of Cloud9 in 2021, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer responsible for the lead definition and development of new features for the Cloud9 platform.

Before joining Cloud9, Jim was CTO and Co-founder at InterNex Capital, where he led the technology planning and build for InterNex’s asset-backed alternative lending platform. Prior to founding InterNex, Jim co-founded trueEX, where he was CTO and a member of the board for five years. Early in his career, Jim was the Director of U.S. Credit Derivatives Technology at Barclays.

Jim holds a BSc in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.

Outside of Cloud9, he currently serves as a Mentor at StreetWise Partners for college students on business skills and startup ideas, works as a Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity International for disaster and humanitarian relief, and is an expert on the Scalability Panel for Katerva, helping to find, evaluate and accelerate disruptive sustainable innovations from around the world.

Mario Orphanou

Senior Director, Product Management

Mario Orphanou has over 35 years of experience in delivering technology solutions in financial services in various roles covering product management, enterprise product deployment and business development specializing in the areas of collaboration, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), and market data integration & distribution.

Mario joined Symphony in 2014. Prior to his role in Product Management, he was Head of Technical Account Management in EMEA, with very successful enterprise deployment to some of Symphony’s largest enterprise customers.

Prior to Symphony, Mario was Head of Collaboration Product Management at IHS Markit covering a portfolio of products including federated messaging, an industry directory, and a financial research distribution platform. Mario has had the unique experience of working in the front office at both sell side and buy side firms, fintech software and consultancy firms, and various market data vendors. This included positions at Odyssey Asset Management Systems (now Temenos), BZW (Barclays), Telekurs (SIX) & the London Stock Exchange.

Courtney Panik

Chief People Officer

Courtney Panik is the chief people officer at Symphony. She is responsible for designing and executing the company’s talent strategy and creating an inclusive and high-performing culture. Courtney leads all people-related efforts, including talent acquisition and integration, talent management, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, people operations, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Prior to joining Symphony in 2020, she was a VP of human resources at Mastercard, focused on diversifying the company’s product portfolio through mergers and acquisitions. Courtney also spent 10 years at Yahoo, where she held positions in HR business partnership, compensation, employee engagement, and program management, including two international assignments in the United Kingdom and India.

Courtney was recognized with the Excellence in Human Resources Award as part of the Markets Media U.S. Women in Finance Awards 2021.

Marie Patton

Head of APAC

Singapore

Marie Patton leads and execute Symphony’s strategy in APAC across revenue generation, brand awareness, location strategy, and product development.

Prior to Symphony Marie was Chief Operating Officer at OpenDoor and prior to that Chief Administrative Officer and Co-Head of Sales.

Before OpenDoor Marie spent more than 40 years at the Interdealer Broker, ICAP where she held various senior and international positions.

Marie began her career as a voice broker and was an early adopter of the transition to electronic trading across a variety of capital markets products. She joined the U.S. Treasury Brokertec team in 2003 and was based in Hong Kong from 2005 to 2015 where she held various eCommerce leadership positions including Head of Product and Business Development for the region. In that capacity, she was responsible for building and deploying electronic solutions for various products in several different jurisdictions.

Marie also represented ICAP APAC as an ASIFMA Board member for seven years. She returned to New York in 2015 as the Manager of eCommerce Business Development for the Americas.

Barry Purkis

Barry Purkis has worked in financial technology for over 25 years, with extensive business development and sales experience in telecommunications, trading systems, network services and managed services. As Global Head of Sales and Managing Director, EMEA, Barry is responsible for managing Cloud9 sales teams, ensuring high standards of conduct and sales excellence, new sales, geographic and revenue growth, and launching and managing Cloud9’s EMEA operation

Before joining Cloud9, Barry was the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Sales for IPC, where he was responsible for growing the business and the successful sales launch of IPC’s Unigy trading system and Connexus data services. Prior to his extensive role with IPC, Barry was a founding member and Commercial Director at Gains International, before being acquired by IPC. In this role he was responsible for all sales and commercial activity, identifying business opportunities, ensuring business profitability and the personal development of all team members.

Barry holds an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University and a DMS and CM from the Open University, both in the United Kingdom. Before he began his career in financial technology, Barry spent nine years in the British Royal Navy, where he earned an HNC and City & Guilds in Electronics.

Olivier Richaud

Vice President, Technical Platforms & SRE

Olivier Richaud has a strong track record in architecture, software engineering and reliability engineering of large scale distributed systems, on-premise and in the cloud.

As vice president of technical platforms & SRE at Symphony, Olivier currently manages all cloud platforms and leads Site Reliability Engineering. He also oversees the engineering and operations of Symphony’s mission critical core services.

Prior to joining the company in October 2019, Olivier held several senior positions at travel industry IT company Amadeus, where he led efforts to move to the cloud and introduced new technologies with a strong focus on reliability and scalability of large scale distributed systems.

Olivier holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Nice, France.

Maoz Shacht

Chief Technology Officer, Data and Analytics

Maoz Shact is a technology leader with experience in research and development (R&D), software engineering, technology development and deployments.

He joined Symphony with the acquisition of Amenity Analytics in 2022 and is the chief technology officer for the company’s data and analytics franchise. Based in Israel, Maoz brings deep technical experience from previous roles in Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Pelephone and Ginger Software.

Rachna Srivastava

Head of Product, AI, Data & Platform

Rachna Srivastava has extensive product and engineering experience in Capital Markets, Wealth, Investment Banking and FinTech having led some large innovative and transformative products and capabilities.

As head of product for data, AI and platform at Symphony, Rachna is responsible for driving product strategy and execution, while playing a key role in how newly acquired assets are integrated into Symphony.

Prior to this, Rachna held various roles, most recently at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, building next generation Wealth Management Solutions, in Capital Markets (FICC), and at Microsoft driving strategic product initiatives like customer data management (privacy and identity) for several years.

Corry Starr

Director, Account Management

Corry Starr has over 10 years of experience supporting and expanding strategic accounts, adding value to go-to-market strategy, product integration, and digital innovation. As head of North America Voice sales, Corry is responsible for driving sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, expanding the region’s market share, and globally managing Tier 1 clients for the full Symphony product suite and account team.

Prior to Symphony, Corry was a management consultant at PwC specializing in financial services industries. Corry was recognized as a Rising Star of the Women’s Bond Club in 2022 and was a finalist for the Markets Media US Women in Finance Award in 2023.

Dana Starr

Head of Professional Services

Dana Starr has over a decade of experience in financial services and technology. She is a professional services expert that has helped the largest global financial services firms implement and manage cloud-based trading communications strategies.

At Symphony, Dana built the Professional Services unit and is focused on enabling firms migrate their legacy financial trading communications infrastructure to a more modern and flexible cloud-based service. Previously, she worked at Cloud9 Technologies, which was acquired by Symphony in 2021.
