Symphony announces CEO transition and outlines 2026 product roadmap focused on secure AI and workflow expansion

New York and London, January 20, 2026 – Symphony is accelerating its commitment to secure AI integration and expanded workflow capabilities after marking a year of growth and transformation, providing its more than 1,400 clients with the most secure, trusted and compliant communication channels.

Moving forward, Ben Chrnelich, until now co-CEO, will serve as Symphony’s chief executive officer and president. Brad Levy will transition to an external role and continue to advise the firm’s board of directors.

Chrnelich said: “2026 will be my seventh year at Symphony, and I am excited about the initiatives we are pursuing to drive secure communications across global markets. Brad and I have been great partners, and I am thankful for his years of leadership and commitment. We are looking forward to building off 2025’s success to deliver AI-enabled workflows, expanded trader voice offerings and data analytics to our clients and partners.”

Advancing AI and Federation capabilities

Working closely with its clients, Symphony has developed a product offering leveraging the ongoing advances in generative AI, including its new AI Agent Studio. Chief operating officer, Michael Lynch, commented: “This new framework allows institutions to easily create and deploy AI agents across both internal and external workflows. By leveraging best-in-class compliance infrastructure and Symphony’s client-verified directory, firms can now automate complex tasks while maintaining data control, without compromising on control or compliance.”

The studio integrates with Symphony’s Confidential Cloud platform—launched in 2025—which delivers the scalability of the cloud alongside the rigorous security previously only possible with on-premise solutions. “More and more customers are adopting our confidential cloud compute offering to manage data off-premise,” says chief information officer Dietmar Fauser.

Symphony is set to launch WhatsApp Voice, featuring secure call recording alongside flexible archiving and storage options. In addition, the firm is providing clients with greater agility through new Microsoft Teams workflow connectivity. On the trader voice front, clients can leverage call voice data built on high quality recordings to unlock insights and fulfil compliance requirements as part of Symphony’s Voice analytics offering.

The firm will showcase the latest of its product offering at its flagship conference Symphony Innovate on May 6 in New York.
